  4. @ Richard: The Graphika has sn 1810313, so, very close to yours. I didn't think of taking a writing sample, but will ask Alfred to send me one.
    @ Cameron: Mercedes Elektra Mod. 2 was apparently made between 1927 and 1933. This one has sn 3859, but I don't know the exact year of manufacture.
    I think that all of these machines, spanning 5 decades, are testimony of the greatness and diversity of typewriter production.

  5. I have a distant memory of a red IBM Selectric 72 like this one in a key scene in the movie The Clockwork Orange. Do you remember the scene?

    1. Yes, I do remember it. It is in the house of the older writer and his young wife.
