@ Richard: The Graphika has sn 1810313, so, very close to yours. I didn't think of taking a writing sample, but will ask Alfred to send me one. @ Cameron: Mercedes Elektra Mod. 2 was apparently made between 1927 and 1933. This one has sn 3859, but I don't know the exact year of manufacture. I think that all of these machines, spanning 5 decades, are testimony of the greatness and diversity of typewriter production.
Nice photos. The Graphika looks just like mine; I wonder which of the two available typefaces it has. Thanks for providing the serial number!
ResponderBorrarVery interesting, varied set of typewriters. Truly works of art.
ResponderBorrarThe Mercedes electric is particularly fascinating. When was it made?
Oooh, I'm in love with the Olivetti Graphika.

The two Olivettis look great.
ResponderBorrarI have a distant memory of a red IBM Selectric 72 like this one in a key scene in the movie The Clockwork Orange. Do you remember the scene?
ResponderBorrarYes, I do remember it. It is in the house of the older writer and his young wife.
