@ Alan: I was actually surprised how well it performs. Printing is crisp and clean, and you can even gather some speed after getting used to it. This however is true only for the electric version. I could also test the mechanical "Mehano", which has plastic type bars, and found it was not operational at all. On the electric Barbie, however, you can perfectly type letters and noone would ever suspect they are from a toy typewriter.
