  1. Riveting, Georg. The guy with the beard really gives the carriage a thumping. I love the pick-up at the end. I know how the guy on the right feels, but I'd be swearing quite loudly.

  2. Bravi!!! I can imagine Cage and Morton Feldman (who lived in the same building in lower Manhattan) banging away, with pianist David Tudor on 3rd typewriter. Where can I get a copy of the score?

  3. I am really loving the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A handful of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any advice to help fix this issue?

  4. Great! I wish I had the stamina or discipline of the girl. I'm more like the fellow on the left. I wonder why no dings.

  5. Hmmm. I've been poking around the web and can't find a mention of 'Typewriter Piece' beyond this one performance.

I did find this, though, the score of Cage's Solo for voice 15, from 1970:

Using a typewriter equipped with contact microphones (four channels preferably, speakers around the audience, highest volume without feedback), typewrite the folowwing statement by Erik Satie thirty-eight times:
L'artiste n'a pas le droit de disposer inutilement du temps de son auditeur.
[The artist has no right to waste the audience's time]
