  1. Very interesting. Presumably some handshakes were done with Paillard.

    1. Yes indeed. Almost all Hermes models were made into RUF machines, but also some other brands.

  2. That electric looks like the love child of an Olympia SG3 and an early Xerox photocopier! (or would it be an "heliographic"?) What is that, an automatic feeder of sorts?

  4. What makes the little Ruf a Buchungsmaschine? It looks like an ordinary 2000 to me.

    1. I had the same impression when I saw it first. Just like a Hermes 2000, with an additional frame in order to place the booking sheet? I still know too little about how these were actually operated. I will try to find out with the experts next weekend.

  5. Very cunningly hidden calculating mechanism in that first one. Indeed curious how they did that; where to hide the registers. By coincidence, a Remington 11 with integrated Wahl Adding Machine mechanism popped up on the local auction site today complete with it's case. These did show some extra mechanism and keys.

Although I can't imagine it being very functional, I do *love* it!
